Building on past and recent investments and new emerging opportunities, the plan seeks to complete a contiguous open space connection along one or both sides of the river from the O’Shaughnessy Reservoir and the Columbus Zoo and Aquarium to the north to the City of Lockbourne and the confluence with Big Walnut Creek to the south. Capturing the confluence with the Olentangy River along the way and linking with the rest of the five Central Ohio river corridors to create a comprehensive regional open space network that provides convenient access to world-class recreational amenities for all of the residents of Franklin County and the region.
